Delaney Naifeh competed in Tennessee Jr. High Rodeo Finals

Delaney Naifeh

I wanted to make you aware of an amazing accomplishment by one of your students in hopes that she will get the same recognition other CMS athletes get when they qualify for State Championships.  This weekend Delaney Naifeh competed in Tennessee Jr. High Rodeo Finals (4 rodeos in 2 days).  She finished the weekend by qualifying in 4 out of 5 of her events (Pole Bending, Break Away Calf Roping, Goat Tying, and Ribbon Roping).  To qualify she needed to be in the top 4 at State Finals.  She will now travel to Huron, South Dakota in June to participate in National Jr. High Rodeo Finals against the top 4 qualifiers from each of the 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and Australia.  Delaney will not only be representing TN, but Covington and Crestview Middle School.  I typically do not boast about my own children's accomplishments, but since Tipton County doesn't have a rodeo team she quietly competes on her own time and is content without the recognition.  Delaney practices 5-6 nights a week 4-5 hrs each night, competes across TN on the weekends and still manages to maintain her status as an honor student.  She is truly someone you want representing Crestview Middle School at a national level. ~Michelle Naifeh
